Today I will share with you the story “ballad of the mad king”.
It is based on an old Dungeons and Dragons campaign my friends played a decade or so ago.
It is a damn good story if I should say so myself.
And one, which holds an incredibly important principle about manifestation if you want to start manifesting the life you want
… especially if you feel like life just ain’t goin’ in the direction you want right now.
Whether it’s with your health, finances, or you’ve been feeling a bit lonely because things are not right in your love life.
Let me tell you:
The mad king once ruled over his kingdom and was loved by all.
He built canals to provide water to his people in times of drought.
He negotiated trade deals with neighboring countries to ensure his people always had the finest goods.
He sheltered the poor in his palace in exchange for simple, easy labour, he created many a wealthy household that way, … all the while he had their children educated.
And in time, his people grew to love their peace-loving king.
One night, however, he had a nightmare.
Images of his daughter losing her life to an invading kingdom flashed before his eyes, and he woke up in a cold sweat.
He tried to ignore the dream but he just couldn’t get his daughter’s lifeless body out of his head.
He felt this was a dream of things to come… and great paranoia filled his heart.
The king grew even more paranoid by the day until he was now growing a large army and building giant walls to keep out an invading kingdom he only ever saw in his dreams.
He had the eldest sons of all the houses forced into the army.
In time, the people grew to despise the king… and his generals absolutely hated seeing their sons being forced into an army… to fight an enemy the king claimed was coming, yet couldn’t even prove existed.
One general, fearing for his family sold his kingdom out to a rival king and led a small battalion of soldiers to take down the royal family.
It was better to remove the mad king before he drove his people to war.
The whole royal family lost their lives in the uprising.
And the last thing the mad king saw before his life was taken… was of his daughter being killed in front of him.

When I first experienced this story, I was completely blown out of my mind.
Why?
Because if you ask me… the king manifested his own downfall.
He spent so much time focusing on losing his beloved daughter, that he unwillingly sent that possibility into the fabric of the universe…
And in his madness… created the channels for the universe to make his worst nightmare a reality.
What started as a mere dream, turned into a reality.
Yet the worst part about all this is how I keep seeing this happen all the damn time to the people around me.
You would think someone in a slump in their lives would keep a positive line of thought and focus on fixing the downward spiral they’re stuck in…
But no.
They keep thinking about just how much worse it could possibly get, before watching in horror as their lives actually get worse.
Which brings me to my main point.
Manifestation is the magic which binds the will of universe… and all of us within it.
And if you want to tap into the magic of manifestation, and create the life you want
….
Then STOP focusing on the bad… and start putting your mind, and willpower on the GOOD you want the universe to deliver to you.
It’s far easier than you think to pull off a “mad king”.
One small thought can lead to the downward spiral which will ruin your life.
